Gastley Symbolic Abstract

For this piece, my client wanted a more subtle color palette of cream, light rose pink, burgundy navy blue, gray green, and accents of light sky blue and rose gold. Along the border, you can see a Bougainvillea vine winding itself around the border. As you continue through the painting, you will notice a vintage record player in the top left hand corner releasing a curving music clef that wraps itself around a church where two became one. As you continue past the steeple, you’ll notice the notes to “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beetles embellished in Rose Gold leaf arching over two Birds of Paradise flowers. As the notes fade, the clef exits and we are left looking at a Prickly Pear cactus with blossoms adorning it’s pads. Interspersed within all the details are succulents, hexagons, and a few other fun little additions.

This style has endless possibilities and there are so many things one can do to personalize it. Very excited with the end result!!!

This will be the third commission I’ve done in this style and also the largest I’ve ever done to date. At 42”x69” I needed a truck to deliver this bad boy. Thanks Lauren and Bill for trusting me with such an enormous work of art. This was such a fun and challenging project!
